Anomaly in Baltic Sea.
Swedish scientists plan to explore a mystery ripped straight from the “The X-Files.”
Rather than Mulder and Scully, this adventure features Swedish researchers Peter Lindberg and Dennis Asberg. They too know the truth is out there — and in mere days plan to visit what they call the “Baltic Anomaly.”
Last summer, while on a treasure hunt between Sweden and Finland, the pair and their research associates made headlines worldwide with the discovery of a 200-foot wide unidentified object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Now a team of oceanographers, engineers and deep sea divers will return to the site Friday, June 1, for a 6 to 10 day trip.
They want to find out once and for all what it really is.
“We’ll be searching the area in a number of ways,” Lindberg explained. “We’ll use sonar to make 3D images of the bottom, the clay bottom, of that part of the sea. We’ll send down deep-sea divers too. And a camera robot. We’ll also take samples from the sea bed and measure them for toxicities and radiation.”
At this point, Lindberg said, he and his colleagues “don’t know more than anyone else what it is” down there for certain.
But he’s willing to speculate as to the possibilities. The crash debris could be from a meteor, he told FoxNews.com. It could a naturally occurring gas well discovery — located interestingly enough in international waters, he added. Or, he muses, it could be the remains of a Russian warship from the late 19th century.
“I don’t think it’s an ordinary stone formation, or cargo dropped from a ship,” Lindberg said. “But it can be a lot of things. If it’s not manmade, and was made by another form of intelligent life, it would be very lucky. Read full article

This is not a UFO it is a USO Unidentified Submerged Object, ha ha, but seriously it is a really interesting sonar echo and is definitely worth the visit. Good luck to the team.
I saw the documentary on Discovery channel and it’s definitely a rock formation. This video is full of spaghetti, not enough substance. Too much hype in the air. If so why doesn’t he show the spaceship in full HD video. The video is just speculating.
Interesting shape for a rock formation but who is going to know unless they investigate. It might be a land mass that sunk with structures on it. Either way it is very interesting and well worth while investigating. Just because it looks suspiciously like the KNOWN shape of a flying object that has no indentity in official circles, does not mean it is—but you know–I sure would love to find out. My money is on that it is going to be a major discovery in terms of it being a UFO but of course we will never hear of it because as usual there will most likely be a cover up
An exciting “thought” that this could be a ” remnant item ” from the destruction of Atlantis..meaning the last civilisation before ours now.
Look at the image closely, there does indeed appear to be drag marks across the ocean floor. Damn weird.
Be anxiously waiting the news on this if we ever really hear whats down there.

As usual, the government will already be replacing the object with something else as we speak to make sure nothing out of the ordinary is discovered.
Don’t get your hopes up.
This is just a sonar image, and as such, it will not be crystal clear and would therefore not be worthy of HD Video. The images do suggest a circular rock formation. There are other rock formations that almost defy explanation, such as the Giants Causeway, so this could be such an anomaly.
But, the drag-marks leading up to the object, suggest that it has fallen from a great height, and at an angle. If it had just dropped off of a land mass, I do not believe the drag-marks would be so long. Remember, this is only 90 metres deep, so in “Sea” terms, that is pretty shallow. Also, I do believe that this object is nowhere near any land mass, not in recent history anyway. I would think that you would have to go back several thousand years for this to have come from a land mass.
My head tells me anomaly, but my heart yearns for an Ancient civilization, or of course, a crashed UFO. Either way, we will find out next month.
@Brett, its not drag marks its the sonar imaging in layers, it doesnt compile a single image in detail like that, its like rendering software in CAD, it takes several sweeps that increase in detail, the equipment that is used probably doesn’t scan right to the edges thus creating tracks that appear as though they are drag marks as you call them… also to note, all the geometric patterning of the object is broken by these scanning lines, possible tampering or re assortment of images? or could it be an indication of interference with a natural formation, by man or alien alike?

I have no idea about sonar imaging so your more of an expert than myself.
Sea levels have risen and fallen over time so I doubt the depth was always 90 meters deep.
I’d love to be part of that expedition anyways

I read most of your comments about the subject and I felt that a lot of you would like to desperately believe it’s a UFO but in reality it’s clearly not. More speculations than facts. I watched the documentary on Discovery Chanel and it’s been already over 3 months now and since it’s only 90 meters deep it shouldn’t take them an eternity to find out what it is? In fact they did and they came up with the conclusion as a rock formation. This website is a little too late and not that well informed about the subject because it’s already old news.

I believe I never attacked anybody, I was just expressing my pure opinion on the subject. I thought this site was very open to critics. You need to understand that I believe that we’ve been visited by ET’s but it doesn’t mean that I have to embrace every crap videos or articles spread all over the Internet. I’m a very logical guy, as a matter I’m a computer scientist by profession and I use my brain and my common sense before accepting any facts. Given the fact that many videos uploaded on youtube are fake, sadly the good ones lose their credibilities.
I believe it may lie in the way your post was laid out which may just be a misunderstanding but to me there was no real counter argument more a criticism of others opinions rather than a debate on your side of the argument

I assume you didn’t because you said it was my theory.
I merely expressed interest in the story.
My only assumption I put forward to you was that the water has probably varied in depth.

No harm no foul, i didnt read the full article on this subject matter as it has been posted before on TTBTS in other articles, the only difference this time was that discovery channel took an interest of which i didnt really take that as a groundbreaking development and instead just turned to the comments.
if you view your comment objectively you will see you stated “Look at the image closely, there does indeed appear to be drag marks across the ocean floor” to someone who was just viewing the comments on this story and with no other posts mentioning this point I took it as a statement on the image provided with the story and answered accordingly. As i said no harm no foul, its all just misunderstandings.
also to your point of rising and sinking sea floors, after researching the fluctuation in the Baltic sea it doesn’t appear to have risen or fallen much in the last 2000 years, possibly 2-3meters either way.
I still do not buy into this story until we get some decent imagery of the anomaly especially when it is supposedly 60m wide with a 400m tail attachment, to me, the fact that mainstream media has picked up this story means it has been cleared by the top officials as nothing more than an out of place rock formation much like the giant pebble, Ayers rock in the middle of Australia. Till i see some better evidence this is just another Elenin event.
